Filler

Injectable Filler is a Hyaluronic acid which is a soft tissue filler injected into the skin to help fill in facial wrinkles, lip augmentation, and all areas of your face that require treatment and volume. It restores the smoother appearance of your face, smile lines, and under your eyes wrinkles. These Fillers are temporary because the body eventually absorbs them. Depending on their Hyaluronic concentrations; they can last between 6 months to 3 years. If you are not satisfied, these procedures are completely reversible.

Before Treatment with Dermal Filler

  • Do NOT consume alcoholic beverages at least 24 hours prior to treatment (alcohol may thin the blood and increase the risk of bruising).
  • Avoid anti-inflammatory/blood thinning medications, if possible for a period of 1 week before treatment. Medications and supplements such as Aspirin, Garlic,  Vitamin E, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, St. John’s Wort, Omega 3/Fish Oil supplements, Ibuprofen, Advil, and other NSAIDS have a blood thinning effect. They can increase the risk of bruising and swelling after injections.
  • Schedule your Dermal Filler appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event that you may be attending, such as a wedding or a vacation.
  • Results from the Dermal Filler injections will take approximately 4 to 14 days to appear. Also, bruising and swelling may be apparent in that time period.
  • 3 days before treatment AVOID topical products such as Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinols, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, Alpha Hydroxy Acid, or other anti-aging products. Also AVOID waxing, bleaching, tweezing, or using hair removal cream on the area to be treated.
  • Reschedule your appointment at least 24 hours in advance if you have a rash, cold sore, or blemish in the area.
  • Ensure a good breakfast, including food and drink before your procedure. will decrease the chances of lightheadedness during your treatment.
  • If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, allergic to any of its ingredients, or suffer from any neurological disorders please let us know.

Day of Dermal Filler Treatment

·         Arrive at the clinic with a “clean face”. Please do not wear makeup. You may wear your makeup after 2 hours.

·         You may experience a mild amount of tenderness or a stinging sensation following injection. Redness and swelling are normal. Some bruising may also be visible. The tenderness at the treatment site(s) can last for a few hours or a few days.

After Treatment with Dermal Filler

·         movement or massage Avoid significant of the treated area. Unless instructed by the doctor.

·         Avoid strenuous exercise for 24 hours.

·         Avoid extensive sun or heat for 72 hours.

·         Avoid consuming excess amounts of alcohol or salts to avoid excess swelling.

·         If you have swelling you may apply a cool compress for 15 minutes each hour.

·         Use Tylenol for discomfort.

·         Try to sleep face up and slightly elevated if you experience swelling.

·         Take Arnica to help the bruising and swelling, start at least 2 days prior to injections.
